Our clients purchased their home twenty five years ago and they still love
the location. That's why they elected to make improvements to their existing home rather than move to a new one. As we walked the property with the owner, we noted that the years of unhampered growth had turned a scattering of saplings into a small forest. Therefore, the re-design started with the removal of thirty-five trees before we moved on to the overgrown shrubs surrounding the foundation of the house. Among the plants removed, fifteen large azaleas were preserved for later use. A circular driveway was then added and our crew re-contoured the front yard and added a sprinkler system under a covering of new sod.
The new landscape design is filled with low maintenance flowering shrubs and a scattering of bedding plants to fulfill the owner's desire to add color to entry. The mature azaleas that were preserved now grace the property line at the back of the house bringing an abundance of color to the back yard as well. A gently sloping front lawn with circular drive has replaced the steep hill that once dominated the front of the house. With proper design, we corrected past problems and created a low maintenance lawn that will provide years of enjoyment.
Realtors know that a properly landscaped yard will add 7 to 15 percent to a home's
value. For the homeowner it also adds a sense of pride every time they pull in the
driveway. Are you ready to improve or are you preparing to move? Nature's Edge
